This fall these area farms are offering family-friendly fun to mark Rutgers’ 250th Anniversary with special Rutgers-themed games, prizes, and corn mazes:

• Happy Day Farm in Manalapan. Rutgers Alumni can enjoy a special day at the farm on October 29.
• Stony Hill Farms Maze Fun Park in Chester.
• Etsch Farms in Monroe.

The Stedman Gallery at Rutgers University–Camden is presenting sculpture, reliefs, and drawings of renowned artist and Rutgers alumnus George Segal, who earned a master of fine arts degree in 1963. A Zimmerli Museum-curated exhibit of photographer Donald Lokuta’s photographs of Segal's work is presented simultaneously. How does this correlate with the 250th anniversary? Come join us for the first SEBS 250 event of Fall 2016. We will continue to “Explore the Anthropocene: The Age of Us” by asking: what is happening in the oceans and how are changes in the oceans impacting us here in New Jersey? You’ll learn how changes in the Arctic and elsewhere will impact our climate and local sea levels.

Keynote speakers include professors Jennifer Francis, Ben Horton and Scott Glenn, all members of the Department of Marine and Coastal Sciences, School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, Rutgers University–New Brunswick.

You’ll learn why researchers are exploring the world to help predict the future we will inherit. Come meet our very own Rutgers scientists and teachers and see why their research is respected around the globe. This event is cosponsored by G. H. Cook Campus Dean, Rutgers Climate Institute, University Academic Affairs, Marine and Coastal Sciences; Institute for Earth, Oceans and Atmospheric Sciences.

CIEE and Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, will help 250 eligible students apply for first-time passports for free in honor of the university's 250th anniversary. The CIEE Passport Caravan is a two-day, on-campus event sponsored by Rutgers Center for Global Education (CGE) at the Centers for Global Advancement and International Affairs (GAIA Centers), and the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) , with support from the Rutgers University Communications and Marketing Rutgers 250 Office.

Requirements: Students interested in receiving the passport benefit must register for the event with the Rutgers University CGE. It’s mandatory that all students seeking passports be first time applicants and come ready with required materials or they will not be able to complete the passport application process.
