A SEGMENT FROM THE SHORT FILM OUR REVOLUTIONARY SPIRIT

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was on the faculty of Rutgers Law School in Newark from 1963 to 1972. Her Rutgers students sparked her interest in gender discrimination and the law—the topic of the first case she argued before the U.S. Supreme Court. Also appearing in the video is Rutgers University–Newark student Shane Fuller, Class of 2016.

This is a segment from Our Revolutionary Spirit, a short film produced for Rutgers’ 250th anniversary. The film tells the stories of Rutgers trailblazers, blending archival photos and footage with narrators, scenes, and stories from the Rutgers of today.
