Strategic Planning Committees
In the fall 2013 semester, 13 strategic planning committees were formed to discuss each strategic priority, foundational element, and integrating academic theme in the strategic framework in depth. More than 400 faculty, staff, and students served on these groups. Each committee considered specific initiatives that could be undertaken in support of their priority, element, or theme. Each committee's work culminated in a short report that was incorporated into the final strategic plan. An additional foundational element proposed by the University Senate—Robust Shared Governance, Academic Freedom, and Effective Communication—was also incorporated into the final plan.
