Between 2016 and 2019, the Office of State Government Affairs increased its average monthly contacts with government leaders from about 70 contacts per month to nearly 150, reinforcing Rutgers' role as a reliable partner and trusted source for legislators across party lines and for current and former governors.

Our Impact on New Jersey’s Economy 

An academic study released in 2017 revealed that Rutgers’ annual spending produces a $5.2 billion impact on the New Jersey economy, and that every state dollar invested in Rutgers generates nearly $7 in economic activity.
