Leonardo Vazquez, AICP/PP, is an urban planner who specializes in organizational development, strategic communications, leadership, and issues of diversity.

Vázquez is a licensed and credentialed planner who specializes in community development, economic development, management and alliance building. He also has expertise in nonprofit management. He is the principal author of Lagging Behind: Ethnic Diversity in the Planning Profession in the APA New York Metro Chapter Area, and other reports on diversity in the profession. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners and a licensed Professional Planner in New Jersey.

He is the founder and director of the Professional Development Institute at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy and has more than a decade of experience in urban planning consulting.
