Sunlight peaks through the shade trees on Voorhees Mall while students rest at the base of Willie the Silent. The one-ton statue was a gift of Fenton Turck, a physician who acquired the artwork in the Netherlands after World War I. He and Leonor Loree RC1877 anonymously presented the statue to Rutgers through the Holland Society in 1928.
